The 10th Istanbul Carbon Summit held on April 14–15, 2025 at Istanbul Technical University’s Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center brought representatives from Turkey's industry, academia and the public sector to take collective action on the climate crisis. As a bronze sponsor, İnci GS Yuasa supported the summit organized by the Sustainable Production and Consumption Association (SÜT-D), with main sponsorship provided by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and Istanbul Technical University.
Organized under the theme 'Sustainable Solutions on the Path to Decarbonization and the Power of Green Finance,' the event brought together key institutions driving Turkey’s green transformation. At this year’s summit, İnci GS Yuasa was recognized for its notable achievement with the 'Green Logistics' project, which aims to reduce resource consumption and carbon emissions in battery transportation.
One Plan, Lower Emissions, Data-Driven Sustainability
Through İnci GS Yuasa's award-winning 'Green Logistics' project, same-route shipments were integrated into a single transportation plan. This approach reduced fuel consumption and vehicle usage while minimizing empty runs on the way back. The integration of transportation operations with digital systems allowed data-driven efficiency management. With a 15% operational cost advantage and an annual reduction of 30,800 kg CO₂e emissions, the project made significant contribution to environmental sustainability.
Highlighting the importance of incorporating green energy at every stage, İnci GS Yuasa’s Supply Chain Director Işıl Yurdasever said: 'In implementing the Green Logistics project, we prioritized environmental responsibility just as much as operational performance. Combining transports on the same route helped us cut costs and reduce carbon emissions significantly. We take great pride as a team in having our project, thoroughly assessed by industry experts, recognized with the Low Carbon Hero award—one of the most prestigious awards in the sector."

Akümgelsin (Deliver My Battery) service, developed in line with this approach, was also introduced at the summit. Presented to participants in the foyer area, this digital service helps reduce unnecessary transportation by directing drivers in need of batteries to the nearest İnci Akü dealer. The service helps reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Providing quick and efficient battery delivery, this system stands out as an innovative solution that promotes sustainability in sales service.
This helps İnci GS Yuasa continue to manage all its processes from production to service with a more environment-friendly, more efficient and more responsible approach.
